About Vora S.E.R.V.I.C.E
Vora S.E.R.V.I.C.E is run by volunteers and funded by private individuals that choose to make a difference. Our main goal is to increase the graduation rate for youth coming from low income families and make a positive impact in the community by providing education and real-time mentoring designed to keep children in school.
Dr. Geeta:
The founder, Dr. Geeta S. Vora grew up in Mumbai, India where poverty was common. Early in her life she remembers thinking, “there’s got to be a way out of poverty.” She recalls that “my parents instilled in me the value of education in unlocking the door of poverty and inspired me to become a life long learner”. They dreamed of a day that every child in India had the opportunity to unlock the doors of poverty with education. Geeta’s life-long journey led her to start Vora S.E.R.V.I.C.E as a tribute to her parent’s dream.
